Syllabus Details

To enroll the most appropriate teacher for classes I to V and classes VI to VIII, Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council. Candidates who are preparing for the state level test must go through updated syllabus and exam pattern. About Exam

Every year, Jharkhand Academic Council conducts the TET exam to enroll the most eligible applicants. Candidates who want to grab teacher vacancies will have to qualify the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test 2018. Only those aspirants can appear in the exam who submitted their applications before the last date. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answer question. Level-I Test will be conducted for a total of 150 marks with 150 Multiple choice questions. Whereas Level 2 test will be conducted for higher level school, having 210 multiple choice questions of 210 marks.

Child Development and Pedagogy

Understanding diverse learners, Adjustment, Theories of learning and its implication, Personality, Action Research, How Children learn and think, Motivation and Implications for Learning, Teaching learning process, Individual Differences, Intelligence, Meaning and Concept of learning and its processes, Child Development, Learning Difficulties, Factors Affecting Learning, Meaning and purposes of Assessment, The Role of Heredity and environment, The Right to Education Act 2009.

Language – I

Teaching Learning Materials, Framing Questions Including Wh-questions, Principles of Teaching English, Teaching Learning Materials, Unseen Prose Passage, Development of Language Skills, Comprehensive & Continuous Evaluation.

Language – II

Basic knowledge of English Sounds and their Phonetic Transcription, Challenges of Teaching English, Phrasal Verbs and Idioms, Principles of Teaching English, Literary Terms, Communicative Approach to English Language Teaching, Unseen Prose Passage, Modal Auxiliaries, Unseen Poem.

Mathematics Syllabus

Division, Numbers, Volume, Addition and Subtraction, Geometry, Multiplication, Measurement, Time, Weight, Shapes & Spatial Understanding, Data Handling, Pedagogical issue, Money, Patterns, LCM & HCF, Decimal Fractions.

Environmental Studies
